It is about 5:00 on saturday. Mom is still resting peacefully. She wakes up now and again to tell me to go home! I will probably leave as Nena is on her way up. I hope she will be able to sleep through the night. We have had several people inquire about visiting mom in the hospital. I think that would be great when she is a little more with it. I would suggest calling first to see if she is feeling well. Today and tomorrow will probably be difficult for her. If you would like to send a card etc. e-mail me at gretchenbrimhall@yahoo.com and I will give you my home address. (Mom and Dad live with me) The doctor said she would probably be home in about a week. I would love to have visitors at home, just check to see if she is having a good day. Thank you again from Tom, Jan, Nena and Gretchen for all the support, love, & prayers on mom's behalf.

  1. Glad to hear she is resting. Maybe this will cheer you up a little. My boss has colon cancer and has had it for about 3 years. He does pretty good most of the time. He has been on chemo for most of that time. I talked to him a little about this the other day and he sends his best wishes also. Chemo can be a little rough sometimes but it can also work wonders. You guys all take care of yourselves. Keep an eye on Mel also. Hugs and kisses to all of you!

  2. Nena let me know about Lola. I am so sorry that she and all of you are going through this very hard time. She's cared for Mel for so many years, I just thought she was made of steel! We will keep reading on the blog and will visit sometime in the new year--hopefully she'll feel up to having visitors. We love Lola IMMENSELY!! I think she knows that. Please give her and the whole family our love. Our prayers are with you all. Much love, Cecile and Doug

  3. Gret & Family, You are all in our prayers! Hang in there and keep the faith. We love you. Grandma Lola has always treated us like her kids and our kids like her grandkids. We all love her and hope she is comfortable and can fight through this. We will see you soon! Rex, Jill & Kids
